CDCTA will present the year-end Dressage Pony Award for a pony ridden by an adult (21 years or over as of January 1st) in dressage classes (excluding Musical Freestyle.) Validation forms must be postmarked within 60 days of the date of competition, or by Dec. 5th, whichever comes first.
The award will be based on the four highest scoring tests for rides at training level or above, to include at least two scores for Test 3. The four tests may be at more than one level. All scores must be earned by the same pony/rider combination. Ponies include any pony with a USE permanent pony card or any pony confirmed by a current veterinary statement as not exceeding 148cm without shoes, and 149cm with shoes. Once measurement of height is established, the pony will continue to be eligible without subsequent measurement during the same competition year.
A pony with a permanent USEF pony measurement card need not be measured again. To be considered for the Dressage Pony Award in any given year, riders must submit the current measurement card or veterinary statement to the Pony Award designee by the end of the current competition season, November 30.
